Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2012, to Aug. 31, 2016. Signed on March 6, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2014: 2%
Effective Sept. 1, 2015: 3%

Paid holidays: 13 days.

Vacations with pay: 50 days for instructors, 50 days for demonstrators, 24 days for research and technical employees and 24 days for research scientists.  

Overtime: Time and one-half.

Sick leave: Employees will not accumulate more than 480 sick days during any period of 240 months of service.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, child, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or near relative living in the same household. 1 day for employee’s uncle, aunt, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 additional day if the service takes place more than 200km away.

Probationary period: 2 years.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.

Severance: Severance calculated by multiplying the number of completed years of continuous service by the employee’s weekly salary to a maximum of 20 weeks’ pay.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides protective clothing as necessary.
