Renewal agreement: Effective April 27, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2017. Signed on April 27, 2015.

Wage adjustments
:
Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 3%
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2.5%

Shift premium:
25¢ per hour for lead employees. 75¢ per hour for lead hand. 50¢ per hour for floor coordinators.

Paid holidays:
8 days and 2 floating holidays.

Vacations with pay:
2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 10 years and 5 weeks after 20 years.  

Overtime:
Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 10 hours per day.

Medical benefits:
Employer pays 50% of premiums for extended health coverage for the employee and his family, including eye care coverage.

Dental:
Employer pays 50% of premiums.

Sick leave:
Employee accumulates 16 hours of sick leave for the first 520 hours worked and then accumulates 16 hours for the next 520 hours worked to a total of 1,040 hours to a maximum of 100 hours of sick leave.

AD&D
: Employer pays 50% of premiums.

Life insurance:
Employer pays 50% of premiums.

Bereavement leave:
5 days for the death of employee’s parent, spouse, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent or grandchild. 1 day for death of employee’s uncle, aunt, nephew or niece. Additional 2 days when the ceremony occurs outside the province. 1 unpaid day to attend funeral as pallbearer, flower-bearer or reader.

Seniority – recall rights:
1 year.

Probationary period:
520 hours worked. Can be extended for an additional 80 hours.

Discipline:
Sunset clause 15 months.

Severance:
Employees with at least 36 months of continuous service are eligible for severance pay to be made following the completion of the 8-month recall period. Severance will be calculated on the basis of 1 week’s pay per year of continuous service to a maximum of 12 weeks.

Safety shoes:
$100 per year for employees in the engineering, housemen, TCC housemen, kitchen, stewarding and bellman departments.

Personal appearance: Employees must adhere to grooming and hygiene standards set out in the employee handbook. Banquet gratuities: 71% to employees and 29% to management. Of the 71% designated to employees, 50% goes to wait staff, 7% goes to TCC house attendants, 7% goes to culinary and 7% to stewarding.
