Shift premium: Afternoon relief: $1.05 per hour. Night relief: $1.15 per hour. Polygraph unit, crime-scenes unit, technological-crimes team, drug experts, traffic section level 4 reconstructionist, support section subject-matter experts (1 sniper, 1 specialty-munitions expert, police-explosive technician) specialty units will receive a 3% premium. $2 per hour when training probationary constables. $650 per year for canine unit officers.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 120 hours after 1 year, 160 hours after 7 years, 200 hours after 16 years, 240 hours after 23 years, 280 hours after 30 years.
Overtime: 2 time credits for each hour worked. Each credit equals 1 hour. May be banked, maximum 185 time credits.
Meal allowance: $12 for working 3 hours or more after regular hours.
Pension: Employer will pay 1.1% into the Special Forces Pension Plan.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all uniforms. For plainclothes officers, $500 will be paid twice annually for purchase of clothing and a dry cleaning allowance of $10 per month.
