Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2016, to Feb. 29, 2020. Signed on June 23, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective March 1, 2016: 0%
Effective March 1, 2017: 0%
Effective March 1, 2018: 1.5%
Effective March 1, 2019: 1.5%
Shift premium: $2 per hour for shift work started between hours of 11 a.m. and 4 a.m. $2 per hour for lead hands. An employee working as a field mechanic or is required to work away from designated shops: $1.50 per hour. $2 per hour after 12 months.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 21 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours Monday to Saturday. Double time for all work after regular hours Sunday. 
Meal allowance: $16.50 when working more than 12 hours per shift, if employee not notified 2 hours prior to end of shift previous day.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $1.30 per hour (previously $1.20 per hour) into the Engineers' Local 955 Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
Pension: Employer pays $2.50 per hour (previously $2 per hour) into Operating Engineers' Local 955 Pension Trust Fund. Effective March 1, 2018: $3 per hour. Effective March 1, 2019: $3.50 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, parents, children, brothers, sisters, fiancée, grandparents, grandchildren, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law).
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay.
Safety shoes: $0.10 per hour for CSA-approved safety boots. Effective March 1, 2018: $0.12 per hour. Effective March 1, 2019: $0.15 per hour. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide ear protection. 6 pairs of coveralls per year to employees in equipment repair shops and asphalt plant. 
Tool allowance: Employer will replace tools when lost due to fire or theft. Employees employed as journeymen tradesmen and indentured apprentice mechanics: $0.45 per hour.

Certified journeyman, heavy equipment technician 4-year program, welder, machinist, automotive technician: $45.05 rising 3 steps to $46.41
Heavy duty equipment mechanic-off road, heavy equipment technician-truck and transport mechanic, mechanic, welder and machinist: $40.40 rising 3 steps to $41.62
Heavy equipment technician, trailer mechanic: $35.91 rising 3 steps to $37
Tire mechanic, serviceman/fuel truck operator, steam engineer third-class: $38.60 rising 3 steps to $39.77
Tire serviceman, steam engineer fourth-class, steam bay operator: $33.95 rising 3 steps to $34.98
Serviceman/fuel truck operator assistant, mechanic helper, steam bay attendant: $30.20 rising 3 steps to $31.11
Cleanup, mobile equipment cleanup: $27.38 rising 3 steps to $28.21
Editor’s notes: Away-from-home jobs: Employer will pay room and board costs for employees instructed to work on away-from-home projects. Standby pay: $100 will be paid to an employee who is required to carry a pager and be available during a normally-scheduled day off, if the employee does not receive a call that day. Tool defacement: Should it become necessary to deface a tool to make it adaptable for a particular job, the employee will receive a new tool at no cost.
