Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2017, to Oct. 31, 2018. Signed on April 24, 2017.
Shift premium: $3 per day when majority of hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. 
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month to start, 15 days after 15 months, 20 days after 5 years, 25 days after 10 years. 6% pay on each paycheque. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday or Sunday. 
Meal allowance: $25 or warm meal for shifts longer than 12 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer contributes $1.71 per hour into CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
Dental: Basic: 100%, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Comprehensive: 50%, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Orthodontic: 50%, maximum $3,000 per person per year.
Vision: 50% reimbursement, maximum $350 every 2 years.
AD&D: $100,000 coverage.
Life insurance: $100,000 coverage.
Pension: Employer contributes $4 per hour into CLAC Group Retirement Savings Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, child (including in-laws), legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandparents (including in-laws), grandchildren, including husband or wife of any above. 
Call-in pay: Time and one-half beginning when employee leaves home, minimum 1 hour pay. When occurring between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., minimum 2 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 3 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Safety shoes: $150 per year to start. $200 per year for employees who have worked 2,000 hours.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply: gloves, hearing protection, shields, goggles, fire-retardant clothing, raingear, particulate masks, breathing apparatus, fall-arrest equipment, excluding welding shields and burning goggles.
Tool allowance: $0.20 per hour.
Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre.

Editor’s notes: Subsistence allowance: For employees required to stay away from home overnight, employer will provide one room for every two employees and $50 per day for meals.
