Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2016, to April 30, 2019. Signed on Sept. 14, 2016.
Shift premium: Working foreman: Effective May 15, 2017: $4.75 per hour; Effective May 1, 2018: $5 per hour (previously $4 per hour).
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 10% pay.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 10 hours per day, 50 hours per week (except watchmen). Time and one-half for all hours worked on seventh consecutive shift for watchmen.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay per hour per employee into Local 183 Members Benefit Fund. Effective May 10, 2016: $2.80. Effective May 1, 2017: $3.05. Effective May 1, 2018: $3.30.
Pension: Employer will pay per hour per employee into Labourers’ Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada and Teamsters Local 230 Benefit Fund.
Uniforms/clothing: When raining, employer will provide suitable clothing, including rubber boots and rain suits.
Tool allowance: Employer will reimburse $300 when tools stored in employer’s locked facility and lost due to fire or theft.
Mileage: $0.50 per hour (previously $0.44 per hour).

Group 2 (labourers (incl. wire mesh & steel reinforcing), operators of pumps 3” in diameter and under, interlocking stone and gabion installers, labourers (operating ail machine-driven tools by gas, air or electricity, including plate tampers, operators of self-propelled hand compactors (walk behind)), concrete workers (screedmen, puddlers, floatmen), fence erectors (chain-link and other types including snow fences), guard rail installers, diamond saw operators (jackhammer man), sound barrier erectors, maintenance hole builders): $52.64 rising 2 steps to $55.24 (Simcoe County: $37.33 rising 2 steps to $39.58)

Editor’s notes: Safety helmets: Employer will supply safety helmets to employees. When helmet is returned and has been made unwearable through willful neglect and abuse, employee will be charged full replacement value. Entertainment devices: Cellphones, blackberries, iPods and other similar devices will not be used during working hours. Out-of-town allowances: $100 per day (previously $82.40 per day or $412 per week) for room and board. If more than 160 kilometres away, maximum payable 7 days per week.
