Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2016, to May 3, 2021. Signed on June 1, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective June 1, 2016: 1%

Shift premium: Trainer premium: Employee who acts as trainer will be paid a premium of $0.50 per hour. Doorperson working at convention centre will be paid premium of $10 per hour.
Paid holidays: 12 days, including employee anniversary. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours after 8 hours per day. 
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $190 per month (previously $180 per month) per employee into United Food and Commercial Workers’ International Union, Health and Welfare Fund. Effective Jan. 1, 2017: $260. Effective Jan. 1, 2018: $275. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $285. Effective Jan. 1, 2020: $300.
Pension: Employer will contribute $0.60 per hour worked per employee into Ontario United Food & Commercial Workers’ Pension Plan. Effective Jan. 1, 2017, employer will contribute $0.10 per hour to Sun Life plan. Effective Jan. 1, 2021: $0.17 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of current spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law. 2 days for death of grandparent.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 50 working days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Suspensions for possession or being under influence of alcohol or drugs, theft or sexual harassment will be removed if employee has clean record for 18 months.
Safety shoes: $60 per year (previously $55 per year). Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $65.
Tool allowance: Knife and approved-kitchen-tool allowance of $80 will be paid per year to kitchen and staff cafeteria cooks required by employer to bring own knives.

Editor’s notes: Bonding: Each employee must remain acceptable for bonding purposes. When employee fails to remain acceptable to bonding company, employment will be terminated. Walk–outs: Waiter or waitress is responsible for collecting amount of cheque from customers. Where waiter or waitress fails to do so, employee will be personally responsible for paying 50% of food and beverage amount unless employee provides satisfactory explanation in accordance with reasonable or prudent practice. Service express: Attendants will be guaranteed minimum gratuity of $3.10 — in and out — for each bag on tour. Attendants who deliver newspapers will be paid additional $0.50 per hour. When attendant delivers guest laundry to guest’s rooms, premium of $1 per hour will be paid. When attendant delivers complimentary item for guest, attendant will be paid $2.50 gratuity per item. When attendant sets up full complimentary bar in a guest’s room, attendant will be paid $7 gratuity. Performance bonus: If employer meets financial objectives, bonus of up to $125 will be paid to each full-time employee, 4 times per year.
