Renewal agreement: Effective July 25, 2017, to June 30, 2018. Ratified on July 25, 2017. Signed on Sept. 18, 2017.
Shift premium: $1.25 per hour when employer designates LPN to be in charge. $2.50 per hour for all hours worked between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. (Monday to Friday). $4 per hour for all hours worked between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. (Monday to Friday). $3.50 per hour when majority of shift falls between 3 p.m. on Friday to 7 a.m. on Monday. $2 per hour when employee replaces or assumes additional responsibilities during absence of out-of-scope employee.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: Existing employees as of July 25, 2017: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 4 years, 25 days after 15 years. New employees as of July 25, 2017: 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 4 years, 20 days after 15 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7 3/4 hours per day.
Meal allowance: When employee works double shift, maximum $20 will be reimbursed for meal.
Medical benefits: Covenant Care Benefit Plan. $800 per year for flex spending account that can be used for health, wellness, education technology, legal, personal interest, nutrition and weight management, family care and RRSPs.
Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. Alberta Blue Cross Dental Plan. Reimbursement of 80% for basic services, 50% for extensive services, 50% for orthodontic services. Maximum $3,000 per person for all benefits combined.
Sick leave: 1 day per month, maximum 252 hours.
STD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for 66 2/3% of basic earnings after 14-day elimination period for 120 working days.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for 66 2/3% of basic earnings after 120 working days.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Group RRSP matching pension plan. Employees contribute maximum 3% to plan, matched by employer.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (fiancée, son or daughter-in-law, parent, sister, brother, stepchild, brother or sister-in-law, grandparents, legal guardian, grandchild, stepbrother or sister, child, stepparent, mother or father-in-law, spouse (including common-law and same-sex spouse). 3 days for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. 1 day for death of relative or friend not listed. 2 additional days for travel more than 320 kilometres away.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: $3 per hour extra for maintenance workers, minimum 3 hours. 
Probationary period: 503 3/4 hours worked. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.

Food services: $17.76 rising 1 step to $19.05
Cook 1: $23.20 rising 1 step to $24.60
Cook 2: $25.17 rising 1 step to $26.67
Housekeeping attendant: $18.21 rising 2 steps to $20.74
Rec. therapy assistant: $23.64 rising 4 steps to $27.74
Maintenance worker: $28.76 rising 1 step to $30.51
Licenced practical nurse: $26.19 rising 7 steps to $34.29
Health-care aide: $19.73 rising 7 steps to $24.70
2015 - 2016 lump-sum payment: $4,000 
2015 - 2016 lump-sum payment: $6,000
Editor’s notes: Professional development days: Employees required by employer to be registered as licenced practical nurse will be granted maximum 3 professional development days per year for professional development related to nursing skills. Professional fees: For LPNs, employer will reimburse CLPNA registration fees, maximum $200.
