Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2016, to April 30, 2019. Ratified on Aug. 26, 2016. Signed on Aug. 26, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective May 1, 2016: -2%
Effective May 1, 2017: 0%
Effective May 1, 2018: 1%
Shift premium: $0.35 per hour for employees who obtain first-aid certificate. $3.50 per hour for afternoon-shift, continuous-shift, night-shift premium. $1.75 per hour for Tuesday-to-Saturday-shift premium. $3 per hour for weekend-shift premium. $3.75 per hour for midnight-shift premium.
Paid holidays: 13 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 7 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 13 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 18 years, 6 weeks plus 1 day or 12.4% after 25 years, 6 weeks plus 2 days or 12.8% after 26 years, 6 weeks plus 3 days or 13.2% after 27 years, 6 weeks plus 4 days or 13.6% after 28 years, 7 weeks or 4% after 30 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Double time for work on Sunday or holiday. 
Meal allowance: Where practical, employee will provide meal and beverage during overtime hours or $20.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for provincial/territorial health-care insurance coverage. Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for extended health insurance plan. 
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. 
Sick leave: 4 hour per month, maximum 40 hours. May be accumulated, maximum 200 hours.
STD: 80% of wages, maximum 26 weeks.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. 
AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer makes contribution of 6%, employee makes contribution of maximum 5.25%, to Sun Life defined contribution pension plan. 
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parents, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, their spouses, any relative residing with employee). 
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 120 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Severance: 3 weeks’ pay per year of service, maximum 24 months. 
Safety shoes: $250 per year for CSA-approved safety footwear. $350 per year for all field servicepersons assigned to field trucks on regular basis and yard persons for CSA-approved winter work boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply and clean coveralls. Employer will supply immersion suits, fireproof coveralls. Field serviceperson uniforms will be provided. Employer will supply to field serviceperson 3 pairs of Arctic coveralls (or pants and jacket) and cold-weather protective gloves. If not provided, employer will pay $600 per year.
Tool allowance: Heavy-equipment technician, mechanic, electrician, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic (HVAC), millwright, apprentices: $650. Welder, machinist, apprentices: $450. Licensed/unlicensed maintenance person/trackpress operator: $200. Employer will reimburse damaged or stolen tool boxes, maximum $3,000.

Editor’s notes: Temporary transfers costs: When employee accepts temporary transfer to another branch, employee will receive transportation, travel-time and accommodation for duration of assignment. Employer will pay $70 per diem ($20 for breakfast, $20 for lunch, $30 for dinner) (previously $60 per diem: $15 for breakfast, $15 for lunch, $30 for dinner) except when employee is provided with camp accommodations. Standby duty: Parts-counter sales employees will receive $5 per hour when on standby. Cold work: When work is done in temperatures below -25 Celsius, adequate protection and some form of heat will be provided to employees. N.W.T. medical travel allowance: $125 for first flight, $250 for each subsequent flight.
