Credit Valley Hospital radiation therapists vote to join ONA

New group part of 65,000 other employees in union

The Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) welcomed 69 radiation therapists on Nov. 20 as the group voted to join the union.

"We are honoured that radiation therapists have trusted ONA to best represent them. It demonstrates once again that health-care professionals recognize ONA as the obvious choice when it comes to choosing a union,” said Linda Haslam-Stroud, ONA president.

The employees work at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ont.

The ONA represents 65,000 registered nurses and health-care professionals, as well as 16,000 nursing student affiliates, who work in hospitals, long-term-care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
