Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2020. Ratified on Oct. 1, 2017. Signed on Nov. 1, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective July 1, 2017: 0%
Effective July 1, 2018: 0%
Effective July 1, 2019: 2%
Shift premium: $2 per hour for employees working in recycling plant during recycling of asphalt, concrete materials. $1.30 per hour for working as lead hand. $2 per hour for working other than day shift.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday. 
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $1.75 per hour (previously $1.65 per hour) per employee into Operating Engineers Local Union No. 955 Health and Wellness Trust Fund.
Pension: Employer will match employee’s contribution into employer’s RRSP, maximum 6% per year. 
Bereavement leave: After 1 year of service, 3 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, legal dependants, common-law, step relationships) or extended family (mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, common-law, step relationships).
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Safety shoes: $150 per year. 
Mileage: $0.51 per kilometre weekly travel allowance for work more than 90 kilometres away from home base of Calgary or Edmonton. 
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 2% increase):
Group 1 (journeymen mechanic/welder/millwright): $39.79 rising 2 steps to $40.59
Group 2 primary operator: $34.82 rising 2 steps to $35.52
Group 3 plant operator (asphalt, gravel crushing, screening and/or washing): $34.05 rising 2 steps to $34.73
Group 4 (maintenance technician/excavator-grader/production loader/sales loader): $33.28 rising 2 steps to $33.95
Group 5 assistant operator (asphalt/gravel crushing, screening and/or washing/production loader): $30.38 rising 2 steps to $30.99
Group 6 (30-ton-articulating-rock truck/water truck operator): $27.85 rising 2 steps to $28.41
Group 7 plant helper (18 months experience or more with Burnco): $27.74 rising 2 steps to $28.29
Group 8 plant helper (0 to 18 months experience with Burnco): $25.60 rising 2 steps to $26.11
Editor’s notes: Travel expenses: For work more than 90 kilometres away from home base of Calgary or Edmonton, employer will provide accommodations or $50 for employees who live in own trailers, motor homes, or who make other approved arrangements. $60-per-day food subsidy (previously $56 per day). Training fund: Employer will pay $0.05 per hour (previously $0.04 per hour) for each hour worked by each employee into Operating Engineers Local Union No. 955 Training Trust Fund.
