Provincewide, Ont. (490 marble, tile, terrazzo, cement masons, resilient floor layers, helpers) and the Brick and Allied Craft Union of Canada (BACU), Locals 1, 5, 10, 12, 23, 25, 28 and 31

Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2016, to April 30, 2019. Signed on June 15, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
For Local 31:
Effective upon ratification: $0.80 per hour
Effective May 1, 2017: $0.85 per hour
Effective May 1, 2018: $0.85 per hour
For remainder of Ontario:
Effective upon ratification: $0.75 per hour
Effective May 1, 2017: $0.75 per hour
Effective May 1, 2018: $0.75 per hour
Shift premium: Additional 1 hour of pay when work is done in evening or night. Time and one-half for maintenance work that must be done on weekends. 10% above journeyman rate for foremen. $0.50 per paid hour above basic rate starting at 25-foot level for cement masons working on scaffolds. $2 over regular hourly rate (on scaffolding, swing-stages, mechanical lifts) for work at heights of 50 feet and higher.
Paid holidays: 10 days. 
Vacations with pay: 10% of gross wages. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for work in excess of regular hours Monday to Friday. Double time after 2 hours of overtime. Double time when shift schedule is worked between 8 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays to 8 a.m. on Monday or 8 a.m. Tuesday following a Monday holiday. 
Pension: Canadian Bricklayer and Allied Craft Unions Members Pension Trust. 
Seniority – recall rights: 35 days. 
Safety shoes: $100 every 6 months when work is done with epoxy chemicals.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply throwaway clothes when employee works with epoxy chemicals.
Tool allowance: Employer will supply cutting wheels for tile setters’ cutting machine. Employer will supply: mortar boxes, mortar boards, straight edges, tubs, hoes, buckets, polishing rags, steel wool and power tools, power-mixing drill (on job where bonding materials are mixed), bits, plaster bowls and sponges, any tile cutter above 16 inches, lock-up box or secured area when required.

Editor’s notes: Safety training: Mandatory employees’ safety training will be responsibility of employer which will include: WHMIS, scaffolds, first aid, back-care, full-body harness, fall-arrest system, high-lift safety systems. Employer will pay all time spent in training at straight time. Parking expenses: When working in Toronto, maximum $16.50 per day (previously $16 per day). Effective May 1, 2018: $17 per day. $14 per day when working in rest of province.
