Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2019. Signed on Aug. 22, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective July 1, 2017: 1.25%
Effective July 1, 2018: 1.25%
Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. $1.25 per hour for all regularly scheduled hours at straight-time rates worked on Saturday and Sunday. $800 per year when employee occupies a position — identified by gallery as bilingual — and employee meets language requirements, as confirmed by examination
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 9.375 hours per month to start, 12.5 hours per month after 5 years, 15.625 hours per month after 16 years, 18.75 hours per month after 28 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours. Double time after 6 hours of overtime. 
Meal allowance: $12 after 3 hours of overtime. $12 after subsequent 4 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Public Service Health Care Plan.
Dental: Public Service Dental Care Plan.
Sick leave: 9.375 hours per month. 
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, child, child of spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, child adopted through Aboriginal practices, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, any relative residing in employee’s household). 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Call-in pay: Greater of minimum 4 hours’ pay at overtime rate of pay for each call back, maximum 8 hours’ pay per 8-hour period or compensation at overtime rate for time worked, provided that period worked is not contiguous to employee’s normal hours of work.
Probationary period: 6 months effectively worked. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: On first layoff, 2 weeks’ pay; 3 weeks’ pay after 10 years of service; 4 weeks’ pay after 20 years of service, plus 1 week's pay for each additional year of service. One second layoff, 2 weeks’ pay per year of service. 
Safety shoes: $200 every 2 years for CSA-approved protective footwear with steel toe and shank.

Editor’s notes: Marriage leave: After 1 year of employment, employee will be granted 5 days’ leave with pay to get married or to declare spousal union. Maximum 10 days during employee’s career at gallery for leave. Travel time: Employee who travels on government business and is away from home for 40 nights will be given 1 day off with pay. Employee will be credited with 1 additional day off for each additional 20 nights that employee is away from home, maximum 80 additional nights. Standby pay: Payment of one half hour for each 4-hour period on standby. When working, employee will be paid greater of applicable overtime rate for time worked or minimum of 4 hours’ pay at hourly rate of pay. Minimum will apply only first time employee is required to report for work during period of standby of 8 hours. Parking: Gallery will continue current practice of permitting employees to use gallery parking spaces at no cost to employees.
