Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 24, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2021. Ratified on June 21, 2017. Signed on June 21, 2017. 
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Dec. 31, 2017: 2.5%
Effective Dec. 31, 2018: 2.5%

Shift premium: $1.05 per hour (previously $1 per hour) for evening and night shift work for full period of shift provided 50% or greater of hours worked are between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. Special-duty pay: Special duties include police duties performed for any party or organization other than police service. All special duties will be paid for at time and one-half of regular salary.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 21 years. 
Overtime: Paid for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week, except for those employees on 4/10 work schedule or 3-week work cycle. Time and one-half for first 4 hours, double time thereafter. May be taken as time off in lieu. 
Meal allowance: $3 for work continuing overtime for more than 2 hours immediately following regular hours of work.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Sick leave: 8.75 hours per month for 7-hour shifts, 10 hours per month for 8- and 10-hour shifts. Maximum 1,827 per year for 7-hour shifts, 2,088 per year for 8- and 10-hour shifts. 
Pension: Winnipeg Police Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, child, father, mother, brother, sister, spouse’s father or mother, stepfather, stepmother, stepbrother, stepsister, stepchild, registered common-law spouse. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, grandparent.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half. Double time after 4 hours worked. 
Probationary period: 6 months, 12 months within communications centre.
Mileage: $0.54 per kilometre for first 5,000 kilometres, $0.48 per kilometre thereafter.

Editor’s notes: Plain-clothes allowance: Constables assigned to plain-clothes constable positions will receive $50 per month for each month of service and pro rata for any period less than 1 month. $1,157.03 per year for plain clothes-constables and all officers holding rank of sergeant regularly assigned to duties in plain clothes. On-call duty: 1 hour's pay at straight time for each 8-hour period or portion thereof. Canine unit: $600 for each full year of service in canine unit; $50 for each full or partial month of service. Wellness officer premium: Officer will receive annual premium of 10% of base salary received while in that position. Premium is to compensate officer in recognition that officer is to be generally available for call-back duty and for all calls made or received while off-duty.
