Tentative agreements were reached on June 8 between the City of Cornwall in Ontario, and each of four striking Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) locals, said the union.

Bargaining committees representing library workers, paramedics, outside and inside workers will be recommending the settlements to their memberships for ratification, according to CUPE.

There will be no further details of the settlements shared until members have had an opportunity to review their contents and vote, said the union.

The workers have been without a contract since 2015 (in the case of the library) and 2016 (in the case of the others), said CUPE.
