New Bee-Clean contract in Ontario ratified

Wages gains retroactive to April 2015

Members of the Bee-Clean bargaining unit voted 78 per cent in favour of their new collective agreement.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) members are responsible for cleaning the Kitchener, Hamilton and Windsor mail processing facilities in the Ontario region. The new terms and conditions took effect Aug. 2, when CUPW and the representatives of the employer signed the new contract.

The new wages rates will be reflected in pay statements in August with full retroactivity for all hours paid since April 1, 2015, issued within 60 days of the signing of the collective agreement.
