Wage adjustments:
$150 lump-sum payment for full-time employees
$75 lump-sum payment for part-time and casual employees

Effective Oct. 11, 2015: 1.4%

Shift premium: $1.15 for shift and weekend work. $1.20 effective Oct. 11, 2016.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 22 years and 7 weeks after 28 years for full-time employees.

Medical benefits: $325 per year per person for chiropractor, previously $300. Effective Oct. 11, 2016: $350. $325 per year per person for massage therapist, previously $200. Effective Oct. 11, 2016: $350.

Vision: $300 every 2 years, previously $250. Effective Oct. 11, 2016: $325. Maximum of $80 for eye exams, previously $70.

Safety shoes: $100 per year or $200 every 2 years for full-time employees. $50 per year or $100 every 2 years for part-time and casual employees.

Tool allowance: $150 per year for full-time skilled trade and mechanic, non-trade employees. $75 per year for part-time/casual skilled trade and mechanic, non-trade employees.

Sample rates of pay (current, after 1.4% increase):
Housekeeper worker, group 2: $19.63 rising to $21.19
Orderly, group 4: $21 rising to $21.92
Electrician, group 12: $29.16 rising to $29.71

Editor’s notes: Shift cancellations: Employees who are not informed about a shift cancellation 12 hours before will be paid at time and one-half on their next scheduled shift. Seniority: 1,950 hours of part-time work will equal 1 year of seniority. Previously 1,650 hours.
