Shift premium: $1.50 per hour when shift begins at 3:30 p.m., or later.
Paid holidays: 10 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday. A paid holiday shall be considered hours worked, for overtime calculating purposes.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 40 in 1 week or 10 in 1 day. Double time for all hours worked on a Sunday.
Life insurance: $25,000.
Seniority – recall rights: 26 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 1 hour’s pay.
Safety shoes: Up to $100 every 10 months. Employees must have completed at least 1 year of service.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees required to wear safety hats and boots, and hand, ear and eye protection when required. Protective clothing furnished at own expense except where required by Employment Standards Act or company policy.
Tool allowance: Tradesmen to supply tools common to own trade, employer to provide power tools.
Mileage: 40¢ per kilometre outside a 30-kilometre radius from work site. 40¢ per km when employee is required to transport company material or equipment in personal vehicle. Employees paid at regular rate for time spent travelling in excess of 2 hours per day for any job more than 80 km from work site.
