Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2015, to Aug. 31, 2017.

Shift premium: $2 per hour for dual ticket holders (Alberta or Red Seal). 20¢ per every 10 tonnes for crane operators working 66-plus tonnes. 50¢ per hour for CWB welders. $1 per hour for steward, $1.25 per hour for steward with tool box 1, $1.50 per hour for steward with tool box 2, $2 per hour for steward with toolbox 3. $2.25 per hour for chief steward with tool box 1, $2.50 per hour for chief steward with tool box 2, $3 for chief steward with tool box 3. $3 per hour when majority of schedule falls between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. $5 per hour for welders performing stainless duty. 25¢ per hour for first aid ticket holders.

Paid holidays: 11 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 per day or 40 per week.

Medical benefits: 80% coverage for prescription drugs up to $3,000 per person per year.

Life insurance: $100,000 per employee under 65, $50,000 per employees 65 to 74.

AD&D: $100,000 per employee under 65, $50,000 per employees 65 to 74.

Dental: 100% coverage up to $2,000 per person per year for basic services. 50% coverage up to $2,000 per person per year for comprehensive services. 50% coverage up to $3,000 lifetime maximum per child under 19.

Vision: $300 per year for those under 21, $300 every 2 years for those over 21.

STD: 60% of basic weekly earnings up to $600 per week.

LTD: 60% of basic salary, up to $2,600 per month.

Pension: 2% contributed by employer, to be matched by employee. Employees may opt out of DC pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of employee’s spouse, common law spouse, child, legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, sister, grandparents and grandchildren.

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay. Minimum 2 hours’ pay at prevailing hourly rate when an employee shows up for work but finds there is none available. Minimum 4 hours’ pay at prevailing hourly rate or number of hours worked when an employee is called into work, commences work, but is prevented from completing the full shift.

Safety shoes: Furnished by employees.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will reasonably supply employees with gloves, hearing protection, non-prescription safety glasses, shields, goggles, fire-retardant coveralls, rain gear, particulate masks, breathing apparatuses and fall arrest equipment. 50% coverage up to $300 for employees requiring prescription safety eyewear and with at least 900 hours worked. Additional 3,000 hours must be worked from the last time reimbursed to be eligible for the benefit again.

Tool allowance: All tradesmen to supply tool common to the trade, specialty and power tools provided by employer. Employer will supply adequate security for storage on-site.

Editor’s notes: Leave of absence without pay: Employer to grant leave of absence without pay for a mutually agreed upon time for an employee’s marriage, sickness of immediate family member, birth or adoption of child, superfluous union business, death of a non-immediate family member, job-related training or other personal reasons as approved by employer. Progression: Entry-level labourers intended for new hires during probationary period. Intermediate classification for employees with adequate experience capable of working with moderate supervision. Skilled labourers work at least 1,900 hours or 1 year of experience.
