Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2015, to April 30, 2017. Signed on April 13, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective June 28, 2015: 45¢
Effective June 26, 2016: 45¢

Shift premium: $1.25 per hour for employees required to transport adult detainees. 40¢ per hour for employees holding a first aid certificate.

Paid holidays: 10 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month worked to a maximum of 10 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year and 3 weeks after 3 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half.

Sick leave: Employee must provide a doctor’s note after 3 consecutive days on sick leave. If the employer detects a repetitive or abusive pattern in an employee’s use of sick leave a doctor’s note can be required for a single day’s absence.

STD: 90% of employee’s salary to a maximum of 14 days.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee’s spouse, child or stepchild. 3 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law or grandchild. 2 days for employee’s grandparent, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 day for employee’s son-in-law or daughter-in-law.

Seniority – recall rights: 18 months.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at applicable rate of pay.

Probationary period: 120 days.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.

Uniforms/clothing: Uniforms provided by the employer. Uniforms include shirts, pants, winter gear and rain gear. Employees can wear short-sleeved shirts between May 15 and Sept. 15. The employer will provide larger uniforms to pregnant employees as necessary. The employer will provide bulletproof vests as necessary.

Sample rates of pay, current:
Security guard: $16.14 per hour

Editor’s notes: Education fund: The employer will contribute $400 per year. Female employees: The employer must maintain a minimum ratio of female employees per shift as required under contract with the A.S.F.C. Family leave:
10 unpaid days for the purpose of addressing the health, safety or education of the employee’s child. Birth or adoption: 5 paid days. Maternity leave: 18 weeks.
