Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 4, 2015, to June 30, 2018. Signed on Sept. 28, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 28, 2015: 70¢
Effective July 3, 2016: 50¢
Effective July 2, 2017: 55¢

Shift premium: 10% premium for foremen.

Paid holidays: 10 days.

Vacations with pay: 10% vacation and holiday allowance in lieu of paid vacation.  

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond regularly scheduled hours Monday through Friday. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Meal allowance: A hot meal or $15 in lieu of a meal after 2 hours of overtime.

Pension: The employer will contribute $4.90 to the Labourers Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada for each hour of overtime worked.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee’s spouse, child or parent. 2 days for employee’s brother or sister. 1 day for employee’s grandparent, uncle, aunt, nephew or niece.

Call-in pay: At least 2 hours at regular rate of pay.

Safety shoes: Employees provide and maintain safety boots.

Mileage: 50¢ per km.

Sample rates of pay, current:
Foreman construction craft worker: $20.92 per hour
Red seal journeyman construction craft worker: $19.02
Qualified labourer construction craft worker: $18.83
Apprentice construction craft worker: $15.22 rising in 2 steps to $17.12

Editor’s notes: Refreshments: Fresh drinking water, ice (when necessary) and paper cups are provided by the employer. Moonlighting: Employees who undertake any work similar to, or connected with, the activities of the employer after regular working hours will be subject to discipline. On the 1st occasion, the employee will be subject to a 1-week suspension. If a 2nd incident takes place within a 1-year period of the last offence, the employee will be subject to immediate dismissal.
