Renewal agreement: July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2019. Signed on June 16, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective July 1, 2014: 2.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2.5%
Effective July 1, 2015: 2%
Effective July 1, 2016: 2.25%
Effective July 1, 2017: 3%
Effective July 1, 2018: 3%

Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m.  $1.50 per hour for all hours worked on a Saturday or Sunday.

Paid holidays:  12 days, including a choice of either Family Day in February or Easter Monday provided such election is confirmed in writing to the employer no later than Dec. 31 of the previous year. Absent such election, the holiday shall be taken as Easter Monday. Time and one-half paid for all hours worked up to regular daily scheduled hours of work and double time thereafter, in addition to pay earned had employee not worked on the holiday.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 18 years and 6 weeks after 29 years.

Overtime:  Time and one-half for the first 4 hours worked in excess of employee’s normal scheduled daily hours and double time for each additional hour. Time and one-half for each hour worked on the first day of rest and double time for each hour worked in excess of the employee’s normal daily hours worked on that day of rest. Double time for each hour worked on the second or subsequent day of rest.

Medical benefits: 100% of premium paid by employer.

Dental:  100% of premium paid by employer.

Sick leave: 9.375 hours per month for 37.5-hour work week; 10 hours per month for 40-hour work weeks, to a maximum of 91 days. Unearned sick leave may be advanced up to 187.5 hours/200 hours.

LTD: 85% of premium paid by employer.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of immediate family member. One day for son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Up to 1 day to attend a funeral as a pallbearer.

Call-in pay: The greater of 4 hours at the applicable overtime rate for each call back to a maximum of 8 hours' compensation in an 8-hour period, or overtime rate for actual time worked if not contiguous to the employee’s normal hours of work.

Probationary period:  6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.

Severance: 4 months’ regular pay plus 1 month’s regular pay per year of service rounded to the next full year.

Safety shoes: $135 per year for employees required to wear safety footwear.

Uniforms/clothing: Company to furnish as necessary and provide laundry services for coveralls and parkas.

Editor’s notes:  Education: 1 year of education and career development leave available upon approval of the employer. Family leave: Up to 3 days paid leave to provide temporary care to sick family member. Birth or adoption: 1 day for the birth or adoption of a child. Elderly parent: Between 3 and 5 weeks unpaid leave to care for an elderly parent.
