Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 31, 2015. Signed on July 3, 2015.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2014: 1.93%
Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2%

Paid holidays:
11 days.

Vacations with pay:
6% vacation pay to start, 8% after 6 years, 10% after 17 years and 12% after 25 years.

Overtime:
Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Medical benefits:
Following probation, employees will receive 12% added on to their hourly rate of pay in lieu of dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, extended health-care insurance, vision care insurance, semi-private hospitalization coverage, income replacement coverage/sick leave or statutory and declared holiday pay. 6% for employees working beyond the age of 65. 4.4% for employees working beyond the age of 69.

Bereavement leave:
5 days for employee’s spouse, brother, sister, parent or child. 3 days for employee’s father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent or grandchild.

Seniority – recall rights:
2 years.  

Call-in pay:
Employees required to report back to duty after completing their scheduled hours for the day will be paid a 1-hour allowance at straight time as well as applicable overtime pay for all hours worked.
Probationary period: 624 cumulative paid hours of work of a period of 2 years provided the employee works a minimum of 420 cumulative hours within that period.

Discipline:
Sunset clause is 2 years.

Uniforms/clothing:
Employer provides 1 uniform per year where a uniform or personal equipment is issued for the carrying out of duties. Employer provides hats/caps and T-shirts where required for protection or identification.

Mileage
: 54¢ per km.
