Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to June 30, 2019. Ratified on July 24, 2017. Signed on Sept. 15, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for work between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus one-half day on Christmas Eve. 
Vacations with pay: 12 shifts after 1 year, 16 shifts after 8 years, 20 shifts after 15 years, 24 shifts after 24 years. For employees in mechanical branch: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 24 years. For employees in fire-prevention bureau: 120 hours after 1 years, 160 hours after 8 years, 200 hours after 15 years, 240 hours after 24 years. 
Overtime: Double time for all extra hours worked, minimum 2 hours’ pay. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Insurance. Employer pays 100% of premiums for Blue Cross Supplementary Medical or equivalent or better plan. 
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Sick leave: 3/4 of day per month, maximum 100 days.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for first $25,000 of coverage of twice annual salary.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 4 shifts for fire operations or 911-emergency-communications personnel or 5 shifts for prevention or mechanical-branch personnel for death in immediate family (father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, legally recognized spouse, legally recognized children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents).
Probationary period: 12 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Newly hired employees will receive 4 duty shirts, toque, 4 duty trousers, fur hat, 1 pair of duty coveralls, 1 pair of workout shorts, 1 pair of duty boots, 1 pair of dress shoes, 1 pair dress gloves, 4 T-shirts, 1 ball cap, 1 belt.
Tool allowance: $30 per month for emergency-apparatus technicians.

EMT ambulance employees will receive 2 lieu days per year.
