Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on July 25, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour to all employees whose regularly assigned shifts begin between 2:30 p.m. and 10:29 p.m. $0.55 per hour for those beginning shifts between 10:30 p.m. and 6:29 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days, including 2 floater days. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per 25 days, maximum 10 days to start (if worked more than 30 days), 1 day per 16 2/3 days after 5 years, 1 day per 12 1/2 days after 10 years, 1 day per 10 days after 19 years, 6 weeks after 28 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for working more than bulletined hours in work week. Time and one-half for employee required to work 2 shifts in 24-hour period for second shift. 
Meal allowance: $10 toward overtime meal if working more than 10 hours in one shift. If 2 shifts worked in 24-hour period, $10 meal allowance for 16 hours or more. 
Medical benefits: Employee pays $10 month for 80%/20% co-pay plan. 
Dental: Maximum $1,200 per year for 80%/20% co-pay preventative plan which includes check-ups, cleaning, fillings, extractions, X-rays, root canals, periodontal, endodontic services
Vision: $175 per person every 2 years.
Weekly indemnity: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for 1/4/26 plan equivalent to benefits provided by Employment Insurance Commission. 
AD&D: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for $50,000 coverage. 
Life insurance: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for $50,000 coverage. 
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, stepparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Probationary period: 65 tours of duty. 
Safety shoes: $160 per year for safety boot or clothing allowance at option of employee (previously $140 per year). 
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 1% increase):
Existing employees 
Yard master: $31.45 rising 2 steps to $31.76
Probationary: $28.84 rising 2 steps to $29.13
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 3% increase):
Employees hired after Jan. 1, 2008
Yard master: $24.73 rising 2 steps to $25.48
Probationary: $22.65 rising 2 steps to $23.33
Lump sum payments of $750 will be paid on first pay of January 2017 and 2018 to employees hired prior to 2008 and who have worked in any department for more than 50% of the 52 weeks preceding Jan. 1.
Editor’s notes: Retiree allowance: For employees retiring after 10 years of service, $3,000 will be paid.
