Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 15, 2017, to Oct. 15, 2020. Signed on Oct. 15, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Oct. 15, 2017: $0.40 per hour
Effective Oct. 15, 2018: $0.40 per hour
Effective Oct. 15, 2019: $0.40 per hour
Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for health and safety representative. $0.60 per hour for afternoons; $0.90 per hour for midnights for 8-hour shifts. $0.85 per hour for days; $1.20 per hour for nights for continental shifts. 
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 1 week or 4% after 6 months, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years. 
Overtime: 8-hour shifts: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or on Saturday; double time for all work on Sunday, statutory or paid holiday. Continental shifts: Time and one-half for all work after 12 hours per day or hours on days not regularly scheduled. Double time for all work after 12 hours per day for skilled-trades personnel. May be banked, maximum 48 hours per year.
Dental: Basic: 100% coverage, maximum $1,800 per year. Major dental: 50% coverage, maximum $1,500 per year. Orthodontics: 50% coverage, $2,000 maximum lifetime.
Vision: Employer will provide paid eye exams every 2 years. 2-year vision coverage can be applied towards laser vision correction or contact lenses, maximum $400 every 2 years.
Paramedical: $650 for chiropractor.
AD&D: Coverage of $77,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $77,000.
Pension: Employer will contribute $2.93 per hour to pension. Effective Nov. 1, 2018: $3.03 per hour. Effective Nov. 1, 2019: $3.13 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for 8-hour shift workers; 3 days for 12-hour shift workers for death in immediate family (employee’s current spouse, children, parent, stepchild, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, stepparent; spouse’s parent, stepparent). 3 days for 8-hour shift workers; 2 days for 12-hour shift workers for death of employee’s grandparent, grandchild; spouse’s brother. 1 day for death of employee’s brother’s current spouse, sister’s current spouse, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, children’s father/mother; spouse’s grandparent. 
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at premium rate, double time for call-ins that begin on Sunday and ends on Monday; time and one-half for call-ins that begin on Saturday and ends on Sunday.
Probationary period: 480 hours of work, within 12-consecutive-month period.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 1.5 weeks per year of service, with less than 5 years of seniority; 3 weeks per year of service, after 5 years of seniority.
Safety shoes: $150 per year (previously $125 per year) for CSA and employer-approved safety shoes or boots. $20 per year for insoles. Additional $125 (previously $120) for second pair of safety shoes or boots where footwear may deteriorate due to working conditions. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective devices with necessary tools, equipment, protective clothing required. Winter coats, raincoats will be available in various sizes for each area. Employer will pay, maximum $50 for first $100 spent for Autoliv clothing. Employer will provide aprons for use in coating department and smocks for use by weaving set-up techs. Employer will provide 1 T-shirt with both Autoliv and Unifor logo on it.
Tool allowance: $700 per year (previously $600 per year) for active skilled trades employees, apprentices. Broken or damaged tools will be replaced once per year. 
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4% increase):
Class #1 (cutting inspection, customer focus, prototype/laboratory, weaver, selvedge/re-roll, tool crib/receiver clerk, scourer/coater): $19.65 rising 2 steps to $20.45
Class #2 (knotter, float class (vacation/absentee), material handler, shipper/receiver): $20.55 rising 2 steps to $21.35
Class #3 (set-up techs-all, oiler/greaser, skilled trades helpers): $22.05 rising 2 steps to $22.85
Class #4 (chairperson, skilled trades, apprentices): $30.65 rising 2 steps to $31.65
Apprentices
First 1,000 hours: 65% of classification group rate
Second 1,000 hours: 70% of classification group rate
Third 1,000 hours: 75% of classification group rate
Fourth 1,000 hours: 80% of classification group rate
Fifth 1,000 hours: 85% of classification group rate
Sixth 1,000 hours: 90% of classification group rate
Seventh 1,000 hours: 95% of classification group rate
Eighth 1,000 hours: 95% of classification group rate
Lump sum: $1,500 in year 1, $500 in year 3.
Editor’s notes: Anti-harassment training: All employees will receive minimum 4 hours of training in 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027. Paid education leave: Employer will pay $0.03 per employee to Unifor Leadership training fund. Justice fund: Employer will pay $0.01 per hour to Unifor Social Justice Fund. Prescription safety glasses: Employer will pay full cost per year for prescription safety glasses, including scratch resistance and anti-glare, and employer-approved safety frames provided employee purchases glasses from employer’s designated supplier. Volunteer firefighters: Tilbury, Comber and Merlin volunteer firefighters, and rescue divers will be permitted to leave or call into plant at any time they are called or paged to perform firefighting or rescue and recovery work, and will be paid at applicable rate and not charged E-days.
