Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on June 18, 2018.
Shift premium: $0.52 per hour when majority of hours worked are between 3 p.m. and 7 a.m. $0.30 per hour (previously $0.20 per hour) for all hours worked between midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. $0.50 per hour to most senior cook 1 on duty when nutrition manager is not scheduled for duty. $0.50 per hour to most senior maintenance employee who assumes duties of environmental-services coordinator or environmental services manager when neither is scheduled for duty. $0.50 per hour to early cook working on Saturday and Sunday weekend when cook 1 is not on regular duty.
Paid holidays: 10 days plus 2 floating holidays. 
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 23 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 28 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 80 hours biweekly. May be taken as time off in lieu, but must be taken within 60 days. 
Meal allowance: 1 paid meal per full 8-hour shift for each member of bargaining unit.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for plan equivalent to former Liberty Health Dental Plan No. 9.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $300 every 24 months (previously $275 every 24 months).
Paramedical: $500 per year for chiropractic services.
Sick leave: 12 hours per month. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of one and one-half salary of employee. 
Pension: Employees are obliged to enrol in Ontario Municipal Employee’s Retirement System (OMERS).
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of mother, father, stepparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, legal guardian, grandparent, grandchildren, stepbrother, stepsister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. 4 additional unpaid days may be given where necessary because of distance.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months with less than 2 years’ seniority; 24 months after 2 years’ seniority; 36 months for Workplace Safety and Insurance Board claims. 
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours of work or 3 hours of pay at time and one-half regular hourly earnings.
Probationary period: 45 days worked. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months, except for incidents of resident abuse, workplace violence, workplace harassment. At 18-month intervals, providing that employee’s record has been discipline-free for 18-month intervals, employer, union, employee will meet to review disciplinary record and employer will consider removal of disciplinary sanction.
Uniforms/clothing: $150 per year for all employees who are required to wear uniforms or who are required to abide by dress code of Spruce Lodge.
