Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2018, to Sept. 30, 2022. Signed on May 1, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Oct. 1, 2017: 3%
Effective Oct. 1, 2019: 1%
Effective Oct. 1, 2021: 2%
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for drivers assigned to shunting. $0.40 per hour for drivers assigned to garbage runs under threshold mileage. $0.75 per hour for mechanics and stock personnel who are assigned to work 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday.
Paid holidays: 9 days, plus 1 float holiday for employees with more than 24 months of service. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 15 years. Effective Oct. 1, 2020: 4 weeks after 12 years. Effective Oct. 1, 2021: 4 weeks after 10 or years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week for mechanics, tire men. Time and one-half for all work after 60 hours per week or 2,750 miles for highway drivers. Time and one-half for all work after 9 hours per day or 45 hours per week for shuttle drivers. 
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 80% coverage, maximum $1,250 per person per year. 
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $200 every 24 months.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage maximum $1,000 per month, maximum 24 months.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $25,000. 
Pension: After 1 year of service, each full-time employee is entitled to contribute maximum 10% of employee’s gross salary per year to registered pension plan. Employer will match contributions, maximum 1.5% after 1 years of service; maximum 2% after 3 years of service; maximum 3.5% after 5 years of service. 
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, mother, father, children, sisters, brothers, father-in-law, mother-in-law) after 3 months of employment. Additional 25 days’ unpaid time off may be granted on request. 1 day for death of grandmother, grandfather, and grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: Length of employee’s seniority or 12 months, whichever is less.
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years.
Safety shoes: $150 per year (including tax) at boot retailer of employer’s choice, for employees who are classified as mechanics, tire men, wash-bay personnel, stockroom personnel, full-time shunters. Effective Jan. 1, 2019, employer will provide to drivers, once every 2 years, boot allowance of maximum $150.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 2 pairs of gloves and 2 raincoats for use by employees when required to work in terminal yard or other shunt operations in inclement weather.
Tool allowance: Employer will pay 100% of present monthly billed premium rate for tool insurance for mechanics. Deductible of $250 which employee is responsible to pay. $340 per year for mechanics after 12 months of service.
Mileage: Effective Oct. 1, 2017, $0.561 per mile. Effective Oct. 1, 2019, $0.567 all-inclusive per mile. Effective Oct. 1, 2021, $0.578 all inclusive per mile. For trips more than 500 miles: Effective Oct. 1, 2017, $0.443 per mile. Effective Oct. 1, 2019, $0.447 per mile. Effective Oct. 1, 2021, $0.456 per mile. For garbage trips more than 500 miles: $0.69 per mile.

Basic 70%: $21.64 rising 2 steps to $22.30
Basic to intermediate 80%: $24.74 rising 2 steps to $25.48
Intermediate to advanced 90%: $27.83 rising 2 steps to $28.67
Apprentices - trailer mechanic
Basic 70%: $19.62 rising 2 steps to $20.21
Basic to intermediate 80%: $22.42 rising 2 steps to $23.10
Intermediate to advanced 90%: $25.22 rising 2 steps to $25.99
Drivers: $19.23 rising 2 steps to $19.81

Class 1: $30.92 rising 2 steps to $31.85
