About 1,400 employees working at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) in Ontario voted to ratify a contract that features four years of wage increases and not a single concession, according to the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
"Each and every MPAC member can take pride in this deal," said Warren (Smokey) Thomas, OPSEU president.
The four-year agreement provides annual wage increases of 1.9 per cent in each of the first three years and 1.75 per cent in the final year. This deal provides all members with a one-time payment of $750 for health and wellness. It also includes a one-time payment of $250 for all permanent members, to help offset the costs of affiliate and candidacy fees, said the union.
