Cannabis workers at four retail locations in Quebec chose United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) as their union on Oct. 18.

The members work at the Rosemont, Rimouski, Sainte-Foy and Mirabel locations of the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC), which is Quebec’s cannabis retail chain.

In Quebec, UFCW represents more than 40,000 members at more than 650 businesses across the province.

The new members at the SDQC will benefit from UFCW’s experience as the union representing thousands of cannabis workers in the U.S. in stores, pharmacies and growing, manufacturing and processing facilities.
