Unifor members at the Windsor, Ont., hospital Hotel-Dieu Grace Health Care made gains in wages, benefits and vacation entitlements, after a new collective agreement was signed on Nov. 8, said the union.

“We’re pleased for our members in the service- and skilled-trades units who achieved solid gains over the life of this agreement,” said Tullio DiPonti, Unifor Local 2458 president.

Both units voted 100 per cent in favour of the collective agreements, showing their support of the work done by the bargaining committee, according to Unifor.

In addition to wage increases of more than six per cent over four years, workers will reach vacation thresholds sooner, said the union.
