Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 10, 2017, to Feb. 9, 2020. Signed on Feb. 10, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for emergency-response team (ERT) members. $0.65 per hour for afternoon shift. $0.70 per hour for midnight shift. When employee reports earlier than 5 a.m., employee will be paid 3 hours of midnight-shift premium. $0.25 per hour for relief person. $1 per hour for lead-hand. $0.50 per hour for utility operator.
Paid holidays: 6 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 2 weeks or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 or 10 hours per day or on Saturday. Double time for all work on Sunday (except where time worked is part of midnight start-up shift for following day).
Meal allowance: $10 to employee who works overtime without 1 day’s notice if employee works at least 2 hours of overtime beyond scheduled shift. Will be paid out on same day.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $300 every 2 years.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 5 days per year for office, clerical employees. 
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will contribute $1 per hour to group RRSP.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of wife, husband, father, mother, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild, stepparents, stepchildren, same-sex spouse, foster children. 3 days for death of grandfather, grandmother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter in-law, son in-law, stepbrother, stepsister.
Seniority – recall rights: 36 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours of pay at applicable hourly rate.
Probationary period: 40 work days or 320 hours worked within 12-month period, whichever comes first. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 1 week of severance pay per year of service, maximum 26 weeks, (subject to provisions of Employment Standards Act, 2000) whether or not employee has 5 years of service.
Safety shoes: $130 per year; $160 per year for those that are required to wear safety footwear (inside paint, cart maintenance, shipper/receiver, driver/cleaner, material handler, injection set-up, skilled trades, grinder operators).
Uniforms/clothing: Protective devices and other equipment deemed necessary to protect employees from disease and injury will be supplied 100% to ministry-standard pricing by employer. Each ERT member will be responsible for own equipment and clothing.
Tool allowance: Employer will pay $500 on Jan. 15 for remaining years of contract for skilled-trades workers.

Editor’s notes: Education-leave fund: Employer will pay $0.02 for all hours worked on quarterly basis to union for employees’ paid education-leave fund. Prescription safety glasses: Employer will pay 100% coverage for prescription safety glasses that are CSA-approved and replaced when broken. Educational assistance: On successful completion of approved course, employer will refund maximum $200 for tuition cost of relevant, recognized education courses (not including textbooks or materials). Donations: Employer will make annual donations of $100 each during life of collective agreement to Renaissance House.
