Provincewide, Ontario (2,990 sales, stock, postal clerks, drivers, pharmacy technicians, bookkeepers, nurses) and the United Food and Commercial Workers Canada (UFCW), Local 175

Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2018, to Jan. 31, 2021. Signed on Oct. 4, 2018.
Shift premium: $1 per hour for all hours worked after midnight. $2.50 per hour for all hours worked when employee is assigned to be in charge in absence of store manager for 1 day or more. $1.50 per hour for 4 hours for day when employee is in-charge for store closing. $1.50 per hour for first 4 hours when employee is in-charge for store opening.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 1 personal holiday. 
Vacations with pay: 1 week or 4% after 6 months, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 years, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. 6 weeks or 12% after 20 years. Full-time employees will be given Saturday off immediately prior to commencing vacation. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: $500 for single, $1,300 for family, for health spending account. 
Dental: Employer will contribute $0.35 per hour (previously $0.34 per hour) worked by each employee in bargaining unit, maximum 40 hours per week per employee to United Food and Commercial Workers Trusteed Dental Plan.
Sick leave: 3 days after 3 months; 5 days after 1 year; 7 days after 5 years. 
STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 26 weeks at 66.67% of earnings.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 66.67% of earnings, maximum $10,000.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 100% of employee earnings, maximum $1,000,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 100% of employee earnings, maximum $1,000,000.
Pension: All employees will be eligible to participate in Katz Group registered pension plan after 2 years of service. Employee contributes 3%, employer contributes 3%.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of husband, wife, children, parents, brother, sister, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, common-law spouse as defined by law. 3 days for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law. 1 day for death of grandparents-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for documentation; 18 months for suspensions longer than 5 days.
Severance: 1.5 weeks per year of service, minimum 1.5 week’s pay. 
Safety shoes: $75 every 12 months for protective footwear for home healthcare employees.
Tool allowance: $150 per year to all technicians.
Mileage: $0.38 per kilometre for home healthcare drivers who travel further than home store to pick up company vehicle.

Editor’s notes: Company meetings: Employees who attend company meetings, or approved training courses during off-hours, will be given equivalent time off within 4 weeks. Fatigue mats: Employer will provide fatigue mats at front, post office and pharmacy cash-points and replace as needed in each store. Liability insurance: Employer will provide insurance to cover employees for any work-related liability which will provide full indemnity to employees in event of patient or customer claim.
