Renewal agreement: Effective Oct 1, 2018, to Sept. 30, 2021. Ratified on Oct. 30, 2018. Signed on Nov. 7, 2018.
Paid holidays: Holidays recognized in accordance with Alberta legislation, plus Boxing Day, August Civic Holiday.
Vacations with pay: Vacations will be scheduled according to company policy. Vacation pay accumulated during vacation year will be paid out in 1 lump-sum on third pay day of year.
Overtime: Paid according to Alberta legislation.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in family, after 90 days of service. Consideration will be given for travel time, including additional unpaid time for travel more than 500 kilometres away.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4% increase):
Sales associates
0 to 500 hours: $15 rising 2 steps to $15.64
501 to 1,000 hours: $15.48 rising 2 steps to $16.12
1,001 to 1,500 hours: $15.95 rising 2 steps to $16.59
1,501 to 2,000 hours: $16.43 rising 2 steps to $17.07
2,001 to 2,500 hours: $16.90 rising 2 steps to $17.54
2,501 + hours: $17.38 rising 2 steps to $18.02
Editor’s notes: Start-rate adjustment: Employer may hire new sales associates above start rate. If this clause is invoked, all current associates will receive lump-sum payment of $100.
