Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2020. Signed on Aug. 17, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective July 1, 2017: 2%
Effective July 1, 2018: 1.8%
Effective July 1, 2019: 1.8%
Shift premium: $1 per hour when major number of hours worked fall between 3 p.m. and midnight. $1.50 per hour when major number of hours worked fall between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. $2.50 per hour for all hours worked on regular shift on Saturday or Sunday.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus one-half day before Christmas, one-half day before New Year’s.
Vacations with pay: 1.83 days per month or 22 days after 1 year, 2.08 days per month or 25 days after 14 years. Additional 10 days after 25 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours in normal work week (after 35 hours for part-time). May be taken as time off in lieu. Must be taken by Aug. 31 of each year. 
Meal allowance: $10 after 2.5 hours of overtime, following normal day’s work.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for supplementary medical insurance. Employer pays 100% of premiums for OHIP. For employees who are residents of Quebec, employer will pay premium assistance for Quebec medical program amount that employer would have contributed to OHIP.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 80% reimbursement for eligible major restorative treatment, maximum $1,000 per insured person per year. 50% reimbursement of expenses of orthodontic treatment, lifetime maximum of $1,000 per insured person. 50% reimbursement for orthodontic treatment, lifetime maximum of $2,500 per insured person. 
Vision: 80% co-insurance, maximum $500 per insured person every 24 months.
Paramedical: Maximum $400 for massage therapy.
Sick leave: 1.5 days per month. Maximum 130 days absence before LTD benefits kick in. 
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Pension: Carleton University Retirement Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of family member (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, child, stepchild, ward of employee, foster-child, grandchild of employee, grandparent of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, relative permanently residing in employee’s household). 3 days for death of sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, stepgrandparent.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay at straight-time rates or overtime rate at time and one-half for all hours worked, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 6 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for documents of censure, reprimand, criticism.
Severance: 2 months to start; 3 months after 4 years; 4 months after 6 years; 5 months after 8 years; 6 months after 10 years; 7 months after 12 years; 8 months after 15 years; 10 months after 20 years. 
Uniforms/clothing: Where laundering of protective clothing is required, it will be provided free of charge to employees.
