Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 13, 2017, to Nov. 12, 2020. Signed on Nov. 13, 2017.
Shift premium: One-half applicable hourly rate for highway hours in excess of 10 per day and full hourly rate for hours worked in excess of 12 in that day. $1.23 per hour (previously $1.18 per hour) for afternoon or night shifts. Effective Nov. 13, 2019: $1.28 per hour. $1.02 per hour (previously $0.99 per hour) for lead-hands. $2.50 per hour training premium. $2.50 per hour for sleeper operations.
Paid holidays: 10 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work as city motor vehicle operator after 9 hours per day or 45 hours per week. Time and one-half for all work as highway motor vehicle operator after 10 hours per day or 60 hours per week. Double time for all work after 12 hours per day.
Meal allowance: Employer will provide $130 per month (previously $15 per meal) to replace overtime meal vouchers. Will be paid to all drivers (including bid drivers) at end of each month.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coverage under Clean Harbors Canada group benefits program.
Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Sick leave: 32 hours per year (previously 24 hours per year). Unused sick days at end of each contract year will not be paid out. Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 40 hours per year. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Pension: Employees will be able to participate in group RRSP/DPSP that is administered company-wide.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child. 3 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild stepparent). 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, grandchild, spouse’s grandparents.
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. 
Call-in pay: Greater of 6 hours pay at regular rate or actual hours worked at applicable rate. For holiday call-ins, greater of 4 hours at double time or actual hours worked at double time. Double time for all hours before regularly dispatched shift. Additional 2 hours at straight time at regular rate for call-in between midnight and 6 a.m.
Probationary period: 90 working days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Severance: 6 days or 48 hours of pay per year of service, minimum 10 days or 80 hours of pay.
Safety shoes: Employer will provide selection of safety boots to choose from, which meet Ontario Safety Association standards. Boots will be replaced as needed.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply gloves, goggles, safety helmets, other safety equipment as required. Employer will supply coveralls, shirts, pants in warmer weather. Employer will supply winter parkas every 2 years.
Mileage: $0.746 per kilometre (previously $0.728 per kilometre).
Sample rates of hourly pay (current):
Regular rate: $33.36
Shop rate: $25.59
First year: $1,000 lump sum upon ratification
Effective Nov. 13, 2018: $1,000 lump sum 
Effective Nov. 13, 2019: $1,000 lump sum
Editor’s notes: Standby time: 6 hours’ pay at shop rate for each day on standby. Away-from-home living expenses: $55 for cost of food plus lodging for any employee who is required to spend 1 or more nights away from home. Employer will provide employee with fuel credit card. Paid education leave: Employer will pay $0.02 per hour to provide for Unifor Paid Education Leave program.
