Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2018, to March 31, 2023. Ratified on Feb. 28, 2018. Signed on Feb. 23, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Year 1: 2%
Effective Year 2: 2%
Effective Year 3: 2.25%
Effective Year 4: 2.75%
Effective Year 5: 3%
Shift premium: $2 per hour for all night-shift hours (shift premiums do not receive overtime).
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 80 hours or 4% to start (time is prorated during first year of service), 120 hours or 6% after 5 years, 160 hours or 8% after 12 years, 200 hours or 10% after 22 years.
Overtime: Will be paid in accordance with minimum requirements of Alberta Employment Standards Code. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. 
Pension: Employee may contribute between 2% and 5% to defined contribution retirement plan. Employer will match contributions, maximum 5%.
Bereavement leave: 3 days (previously 2 days) for death of spouse, child, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law. 2 days for death of brother, sister, grandparent, spouse’s grandparent, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. 
Probationary period: 3 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for written warnings; 30 months for suspensions.
Safety shoes: $250 once every 24 months (previously $175 per year).
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, welding helmets, winter wear (as required).
Tool allowance: Employer will pay full cost of broken or stolen tools from employee’s tool list, provided reasonable care and security is taken to prevent damage or loss and inventory and control procedures have been followed.

Editor’s notes: Prescription safety glasses: $250 once every 24 months. Humanity fund: Employer will deduct $20 from each employee in bargaining unit to be directed towards United Steelworkers charitable fund. Deduction will be made from pay period prior to April 1 of each year.
