Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2020. Ratified on Feb. 11, 2018. Signed on Feb. 11, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 0%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2.5%
Shift premium: $0.25 per hour for all hours worked (maximum 4 employees) trained in advanced industrial first aid. $1.50 per hour for lead-hands. $2.50 per hour will be paid to employees who accept role of lead-hand and either work at location away from main yard or work on shift where no supervision works on regular basis. $0.50 per hour for second shift; $0.75 per hour for third shift. 
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work outside of standard hours of work. Time and one-half for all hours worked after 160 per 28-day period.
Meal allowance: $12 (previously $10) or suitable hot meal after 2 hours of overtime.
Dental: 100% coverage for routine treatment, unlimited per-year maximum. 50% coverage for major orthodontic treatment, $2,000 per-year maximum.
Vision: $250 once every 24 months for prescription glasses, contact lenses.
Paramedical: $400 per year (previously $350 per year) per practitioner for (chiropractors, osteopaths, naturopaths, podiatrist/chiropodists, physiotherapist/athletic therapists).
STD: Coverage of 66.7% of regular wages effective first day of hospitalization, first day for accident, fourth day of illness.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of employee’s monthly earnings, maximum $3,000, or 85% of pre-disability pay, whichever is less. Coverage includes 2-year own-occupation coverage.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 50% of annual earnings, maximum $40,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 50% of annual earnings, maximum $40,000.
Pension: Employees will be eligible to participate in registered retirement saving plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of wife, husband, mother, father, children, stepfather, stepmother, stepchildren, brother, sister. 3 days for death of grandparents, grandchildren, stepsister, stepbrother. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at time and one-half. 
Probationary period: 6 months. 
Safety shoes: Employer will pay 100% of cost of safety boots, maximum $200 per year. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide hard hats, coveralls, rubber boots, protective clothing for burners, cutting goggles, gloves as required. 1 snowsuit per year will be supplied to all employees.

H. D. mechanic/millwright: $40 rising 2 steps to $41.82
Welder/mechanic: $30.93 rising 2 steps to $32.33
Shredder operator: $27.98 rising 2 steps to $29.25
Driver/shear operator: $26.43 rising 2 steps to $27.63
Loader operator/crane operator: $25.31 rising 2 steps to $26.46
Metal sorter/buyer: $24.61 rising 2 steps to $25.72
Metal sorter: $23.06 rising 2 steps to $24.10
Security/load inspector: $21.94 rising 2 steps to $22.93
Torch cutter/picker/labourer: $19.68 rising 2 steps to $20.57

Transition rates for new hires (excludes skilled-trade workers)
0 to 2,080 hours worked: 80% of job class
2,081 to 4,160 hours worked: 90% of job class

Editor’s notes: Prescription safety glasses: Employer will pay 100% of cost of prescription safety glasses, maximum $200 once every 24 months. Employer will replace lenses as required. Humanity fund: Employer will deduct $0.02 per hour worked from each member per pay period and submit amount to Steelworkers Humanity Fund. Hearing aids: $300 maximum per 5-year period.
