Renewal agreement: Effective March 31, 2018, to March 31, 2020. Signed on March 31, 2018.
Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $2.30 per hour will be paid for each hour employee works between 4 p.m. on 1 day and 8 a.m. on following day. $2.55 per hour for each hour worked between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and midnight Sunday. $32 per trip when employees escort patients/residents who are being transferred.
Paid holidays: 9 days, plus 1 additional holiday as mutually agreed in each facility by parties. 
Vacations with pay: 1 2/3 days per month to start, 4 weeks after 1 year, 5 weeks after 10 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. 12.5 hours per 162.5 hours to start, 150 hours after 1,950 hours, 187.5 hours after 19,500 hours, 225 hours after 48,750 hours for 12-hour shift workers. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for work before or after regularly scheduled daily or bi-weekly hours. Double time for all work on eighth day and subsequent consecutive days of work. May be banked as time off in lieu. May be carried forward into following year, maximum 75 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Vision: 100% of maximum covered expense of $150 (previously $125) for single-vision lenses and frames; $200 (previously $175) for bifocal lenses and frames; $250 (previously $225) for trifocal and progressive-adaptive lenses and frames every 3 years. 80% covered, maximum $70 for eye examinations. 100% of maximum covered expense of $250 every 2 years for contact lenses when prescribed for severe corneal scarring, keratoconus or aphakia and if cornea is impaired so that visual acuity cannot be improved to at least to 20/40 level in better eye with eyeglasses. 1 pair of eyeglasses when prescribed by ophthalmologist following non-refractive eye surgery, to 100% of lifetime covered eligible expense of $200; 50% of cost of visual training or remedial therapy.
Sick leave: 2 days for each month of service (1 day per month for those hired after May 4, 2004), maximum 480 days accumulated over 20-year period (240 days for those hired after May 4, 2004). For 12-hour shift workers: 15 hours for each 162.5 hours of service (7.5 hours for each 162.5 hours of service for those hired after May 4, 2004), maximum 3,600 hours accumulated over 20-year period (1,800 hours for those hired after May 4, 2004).
AD&D: Coverage of 2 times current annual salary, maximum $1,000,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coverage of 2 times current annual salary, maximum $1,000,000.
Pension: Public Service Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of mother, father, brother, sister, child, spouse, legal guardian, common-law-spouse, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, near relative living in same household. 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Additional 2 days in cases where extraordinary circumstances prevail
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years; 2 years or 3,900 hours in any 3-year period for transfer/temporary assignment outside of bargaining unit.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours at applicable overtime rate. Employee will be paid the cost of transportation to and from place of work, maximum $10 for each callback or appropriate kilometre rate.
Probationary period: 487.5 working hours.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Severance: Amount obtained by multiplying number of completed years of employment by weekly salary, maximum 20 weeks’ pay.
Uniforms/clothing: $175 per year where employer requires uniform to be worn and employees elect to purchase uniforms of own choosing. Carpenters, electricians, painters, plasterers, plumbers, stationery engineers, utility workers, and trades helpers will be supplied with coveralls as required. Appropriate rainwear will be available in maintenance departments for utility workers, watchmen when employees work outside in wet weather.
Mileage: $0.315 per kilometre. $150 per year for employees who regularly use vehicle on employer business. $85 per month when employee is required as condition of employment to have automobile at employee’s disposal, plus $0.454 per kilometre for first 9,000 kilometres per year; $0.315 per kilometre for kilometres after 9,000 kilometres per year.
