Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 17, 2017, to Sept. 21, 2021. Signed on Oct. 17, 2017.
Shift premium: 5% for all hours worked on shifts beginning at or after 11 a.m. and before 7 p.m. 10% for all hours worked on shifts beginning at or after 7 p.m. and at or before 4:45 a.m. 10% for all hours worked before 7 a.m. on shifts beginning after 4:45 a.m. and before 6 a.m. $1 per hour in recognition of extra responsibility for organizing, planning, training, coordinating employees, team activities for each team leader. $0.50 per hour for each production employee temporarily assigned to team leader duties for 4 or more consecutive hours. $0.80 per hour for each skilled trade employee temporarily assigned to team leader duties for 4 or more consecutive hours. 10% per hour for all hours worked on night shift hours 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. for powerhouse continuous shift operation. 0.9% per hour continuous shift premium for all hours worked on powerhouse continuous shift operation. 0.25 multiplied by base rate + COLA for all hours worked on shift where majority of hours fall on Sunday on powerhouse continuous shift operation.
Paid holidays: 9 days. 
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 80 hours or 6% after 1 year, 88 hours or 6% after 2 years, 140 hours or 7% after 3 years, 160 hours or 8% after 5 years, 180 hours or 10% after 10 years, 200 hours or 11% after 15 years, 240 hours or 12% after 20 years. All employees will take full vacation entitlement during vacation year, which is July 1 through June 30. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day. Double time for all work on Saturday, provide such time is not part of employee’s Saturday shift. 
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of spouse, child, parent, sister, brother. 3 days for death of stepchild, son’s current spouse, daughter’s current spouse, parent of current spouse, grandparent, grandchild, grandparent of current spouse, half-brother, half-sister, stepparent of employee, stepparent of current spouse, stepsister, stepbrother.
Seniority – recall rights: Time equal to seniority or 36 months, whichever is greater. 
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay at applicable hourly rate plus COLA plus applicable shift premium.
Probationary period: 90 working days within 6-month period.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide each employee with uniforms as required unless it becomes cost prohibitive or no longer beneficial to do so. Employer will provide personal protective devices, equipment, clothing deemed necessary to protect employee’s health and safety.

Production associate: $34.83 rising 1 step to $35.53
Production support group: $35.13 rising 1 step to $35.83
Production team leader: $35.83 rising 1 step to $36.53
Maintenance associate: $41.06 rising 1 step to $41.88
Maintenance team leader: $42.06 rising 1 step to $42.88
Shift engineer team leader: $42.06 rising 1 step to $42.88
Shift operator second-class: $41.06 rising 1 step to $41.88
Shift operator third-class: $39.82 rising 1 step to $40.62
Apprentices (before 2013 agreement)
First 1,000 hours: 80% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Second 1,000 hours: 83% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Third 1,000 hours: 85% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Fourth/fifth 1,000 hours: 86% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Sixth 1,000 hours: 87% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Seventh 1,000 hours: 88% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Eighth 1,000 hours: 92% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Ninth 1,000 hours: 96% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Successful completion: 100% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Apprentices (after 2013 agreement)
First 1,000 hours: 60% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Second 1,000 hours: 65% of current journeyperson’s base rate
Third 1,000 hours: 70% of current journeyperson’s base rate

Editor’s notes: Cost-of-living allowance: $0.59 per hour payable on effective date of agreement. Paid educational leave program: Employer pays into special fund, $0.06 per hour per employee for total number of hours for which employees received pay, to provide paid education leave.
