Provincewide, Nova Scotia (400 foremen, pushers, journeymen, apprentices engaged in handling, erecting, rigging and welding of bridge, structural, miscellaneous steel, ornamental metal work) and the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers (IW), Local 752

Renewal agreement: Effective July 16, 2018, to April 30, 2023. Signed on Aug. 24, 2018.
Shift premium: $3 for every hour (previously $1.70 per hour) worked on afternoon shift. $4 for every hour (previously $2 per hour) worked on night shift. $4 per hour (previously $3 per hour) over top rate being paid to journeymen ironworkers to foreman once crew exceeds 5 workers. $2 per hour (previously $1.50 per hour) over top rate being paid to journeymen ironworkers to pusher (qualified journeyman who directs group of employees under direction of foreman or superintendent) once crew exceeds 3 workers.
Paid holidays: 10 days. 2% of wages holiday pay. 
Vacations with pay: 7% of wages for vacation pay.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours Monday to Friday. Double time for all work after 2 hours of overtime or on Saturday and Sunday. Double time for all overtime worked on major industrial projects and all overtime worked on shutdowns.
Meal allowance: Employer will provide free meal (hot if possible) after 10 hours worked and at each 4-hour interval thereafter when employee works more than 10 hours per shift without having been notified prior to day of shift or $25 (previously $7.50) where this is impractical.
Medical benefits: Employer will deduct $1.20 per hour from employee and employer will contribute $0.30 per hour to Iron Workers, Local 752 major medical and dental plan. For overtime hours payable at double time, employer will deduct $2.40 per hour from employee and employer will contribute $0.60 per hour.
Pension: Employer will contribute $7.65 per hour (previously $7.41 per hour) to Iron Workers Local Union 752 Pension Trust Fund. Effective May 1, 2020: $7.77 per hour. Effective May 1, 2021: $7.89 per hour. Effective May 1, 2022: $8.01 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 1 day for death of spouse, mother, father, daughter, son, sister, brother.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide following items when abnormal working conditions require use: rain suits, coveralls, gloves, welding jackets.
Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre up to 120 kilometres one-way commute.

All work, other than major industrial: $37.42 rising 4 steps to $39.73
Major industrial projects: $40.17 rising 4 steps to $42.49
Apprentices
All work, other than major industrial (first 1,000 hours’ experience): $21.38 rising 4 steps to $22.75
All work, other than major industrial (after first 1,000 hours’ experience): $21.38 rising 4 steps to $22.75
After second 1,000 hours’ experience: $23.70 rising 4 steps to $25.09
After third 1,000 hours’ experience: $26.26 rising 4 steps to $27.89
After fourth 1,000 hours’ experience: $30.06 rising 4 steps to $31.89
After fifth 1,000 hours’ experience: $34.08 rising 4 steps to $36.17
Apprentices
Major industrial projects (first 1,000 hours’ experience): $22.51 rising 4 steps to $23.89
Major industrial projects (after first 1,000 hours’ experience): $22.51 rising 4 steps to $23.89
After second 1,000 hours’ experience: $25.24 rising 4 steps to $26.63
After third 1,000 hours’ experience: $27.91 rising 4 steps to $29.54
After fourth 1,000 hours’ experience: $31.94 rising 4 steps to $33.78
After fifth 1,000 hours’ experience: $36.02 rising 4 steps to $38.09
Editor’s notes: Expense allowance: When employee works on job site more than 120 kilometres from address, employer will pay daily allowance. $124 per day (previously $121 per day). Effective May 1, 2019: $126 per day. Effective May 1, 2020: $129 per day. Effective May 1, 2021: $131 per day. Effective May 1, 2022: $133 per day. Union fund: Employer will deduct $0.03 per hour to Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council.
