Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2021. Signed on March 14, 2018. 
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2017: 1.25%
Effective April 1, 2018: 1.25%
Effective April 1, 2019: 1.25%
Effective April 1, 2020: 1.25% plus 0.25% lump-sum
Shift premium: $0.79 per hour (previously $0.78 per hour) when employee is required to drive employer truck in course of duties. Effective April 1, 2020: $0.80 per hour. $1.09 per hour (previously $1.06 per hour) when employee is required to drive employer tank truck or a combination stake and dump truck in course of duties. Effective April 1, 2020: $1.10 per hour. $1.22 per hour (previously $1.21 per hour) for all hours worked between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday to Friday. Effective April 1, 2020: $1.24 per hour. $1.62 per hour (previously $1.60 per hour) for all hours worked on Saturday as part of normal work week. Effective April 1, 2020: $1.64 per hour. 50% extra for all hours worked on Sunday.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 2 floating holidays. 
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 17 years, 6 weeks after 21 years. Additional day of vacation after 25 years, for each year after 25 years, maximum 30 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 or 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for OHIP coverage. 
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 100% reimbursement for basic, periodontal services (diseases of gums), endodontic services (root-canal therapy). 50% reimbursement for orthodontia, maximum $4,000 (previously $2,000) lifetime benefit per employee or dependant.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $450 every 2 years (previously $400 every 2 years) for eyeglasses, contact lenses prescribed by ophthalmologist or licensed optometrist. May be used for 1 routine eye exam every 24 months. $450 per person lifetime for laser-eye surgery. May be combined with glasses benefit, one-time combined maximum $900.
Paramedical: $500 per person per practitioner per year for chiropractors, naturopaths, osteopaths, massage therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologist, podiatrists. Services of 2 practitioners may be combined, maximum $1,000 per person per year. 
STD: Coverage of 80% of regular wages, maximum 26 weeks per occurrence.
LTD: Coverage of 75% of basic salary, maximum $4,000 per month. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2 times employee’s yearly salary. 
Pension: Every full-time employee must become member of Ontario Municipal Employee’s Retirement System
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, husband, wife of employee, common-law spouse, same-sex partner, stepparents, stepsiblings. 4 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-taw, grandparent, grandchild of employee. 2 days for death of aunt, uncle. 4 additional days for travel of 1,000 kilometres. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 6 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Safety shoes: 2 pairs during first year of employment, including insulated waterproof safety boots for winter wear, for maintenance personnel.
Uniforms/clothing: Maintenance personnel: 1 safety-insulated bib overall, 1 weather-repellent all-season over-pant, 4 polo shirts, 1 sweater (lined), 3 pairs of pants, 1 windbreaker rain jacket, 1 waterproof winter parka, 1 baseball cap, 1 insulated toque. Maintenance personnel (carpentry, electrical and mechanical units): In addition to previously mentioned clothing, employees may substitute jeans for standard issue work pant, and 4 work shirts (long- or short-sleeve). Parking enforcement officers: 2 pairs of cargo pants, 1 pair of cargo shorts, 1 weather-repellent all-season over-pant, 4 polo shirts, 1 sweater (lined), 1 windbreaker rain jacket, 1 waterproof winter parka, 1 baseball cap, 1 insulated toque.
Mileage: $0.52 per kilometre for parking enforcement officers.

Editor’s notes: Insurance: Parking enforcement officers will be reimbursed 50% of annual insurance premium for business use of more than 9,000 kilometres per year. Standby: 1.5 hours’ pay for each 24-hour period for maintenance 1s, licensed electricians, licensed journeymen. Hearing aids: Maximum $1,600 per employee plus dependant every 3 years (including repair and batteries). Parking passes: 3 complimentary parking passes each year, valid for 1 period of parking not to exceed 24 hours, for each employee with 5 years of seniority. 6 complimentary parking passes each year, valid for 1 period of parking not to exceed 24 hours, for each employee with 10 years of seniority.
