WestJet flight dispatchers — represented by the Canadian Airline Dispatchers Association (CALDA) — voted 90 per cent in favour of a three-year agreement on May 18.

“This agreement is beneficial for the long-term sustainability of WestJet, WestJet Dispatchers and our WestJetters,” said Jeff Martin, WestJet COO.

The vote does not include WestJet Encore.

“This is a positive step in the right direction and a testament to WestJetters working together,” said Justin Jones, WestJet CALDA chair.

The agreement starts on May 18, 2019, and expires on May 18, 2022.
