Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2018, to Jan. 31, 2022. Signed on Aug. 28, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Feb. 1, 2018: 2.3%
Effective Feb. 1, 2019: 2.3%
Effective Feb. 1, 2020: 2.3%
Effective Feb. 1, 2021: 2.3%
Shift premium: 6% for shift employees who work on 7-day rotating shift schedule which includes weekends, public holidays; $0.70 per hour for those whose schedule does not include weekends, public holidays.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus Heritage Day if proclaimed, plus 3 additional holidays. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 6 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 25 years. Any portion of 1 year’s vacation may be carried over. 
Overtime: Double time when continuing work after regular stopping time. 
Meal allowance: $15 after 4 hours of overtime.
Dental: 50% co-insurance basis for fixed prosthodontic (including implants) services. 50% co-insurance basis, lifetime maximum $4,000 per employee, $4,000 per family member covered, for orthodontic services
Vision: $550 per person covered (previously $450 per person covered) for 2-year period. Effective Feb. 1, 2020: $600 per person covered for 2-year period. Laser eye surgery coverage of 67% coinsurance, lifetime maximum $1,500 per person covered. $80 per person for eye exams, once every year for dependent children younger than 21, once every 2 years for other persons covered. 
Paramedical: $150 for initial visit; $70 per subsequent visit for physiotherapist. $500 per year (previously $475 per year) for chiropractor (including X-rays). Effective Feb. 1, 2020: $525 per year. Effective Feb. 1, 2021: $550 per year. $50 per visit per person for osteopath, chiropodist, podiatrist, registered massage therapist. $1,000 per person (previously $850 per person) per contract year for psychologist/psychotherapist, acupuncture, naturopath, speech therapist, dietician (payable only after OHIP ceases to pay any portion of expenses).
Pension: Employee participation in OMERS pension plan will commence on date of hire.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, stepparent, partner, spouse, child, stepchild. 3 days for death of brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandparent-in-law, parent-in-law, grandchild, relative residing in employee’s home. 1 day for death of aunt, aunt-in-law, uncle, uncle-in-law, relative other than those listed. Maximum 6 employees are permitted, without loss of pay, to serve as pall-bearers at funeral of fellow employee or retired employee.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.
Probationary period: 5 months for new classifications; 6 months for new employees. 
Severance: After 3 years of service, for each week of continuous layoff, up to maximum number of weeks equal to number of years of service, employee will receive 1 week’s straight-time pay.
Safety shoes: $225 per year (previously $170 per year). $270 per year for distribution-service technicians, certified power-cable persons, certified crew leader, cable, certified power-line persons, system-response representatives, certified crew-leader line. May be carried over into following year, maximum 1 year’s entitlement.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide overalls, coveralls, quilted-bib overalls, parkas, gloves, pants, shirts
Tool allowance: Employer will provide tools necessary for employees to carry out duties.
Mileage: $0.54 per kilometre, plus $300 per year to cover difference in insurance cost between pleasure and business driving for employees who use own vehicles.

Editor’s notes: Driver’s licence: Cost of driver’s licence for employees who are required to operate employer vehicles and employees who are authorized to operate own automobile will be paid by employer. Cost of medical exams for employees required to have AZ or DZ licence will be paid for by employer. Hearing aids: $3,500 every 5 years, including repairs and batteries. Standby: 3 hours’ at straight-time pay for each day on standby on weekend, public holiday; time and one-half hours at straight-time pay for other weekdays on standby.
