Agreement reached for employees at Regina airport

Improved pension rates, raises in each of five years: UCTE

Members of the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE), Local 40403, at the Regina International Airport voted in favour of a new collective agreement on July 22.

The new five-year agreement — which is retroactive to July 1, 2018 — reflects improvements for work-life balance as well as increases in some allowances, says the union.

The bargaining team was able to secure wage increases of two per cent for 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 and 2.25 per cent for 2022. Members also achieved increases in shift premiums, boot allowance and vacation entitlements, says UCTE.

The new collective agreement also has improvements to the defined contribution pension plan rates as well as the recognition of Family Day as a paid holiday, says the union.
