Employees of Anne Hathaway Retirement Home in Stratford, Ont. voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new three-year collective agreement on Aug. 9.

The employees are members of Grand River Valley Health Care Workers Union, CLAC Local 305.

The new agreement provides them with six per cent wage increases across the board over three years, increases to the pension plan and the introduction of a medication premium, says the union.

“The negotiating teams on both sides worked very hard to put together a package that moved things forward on several issues,” says Michelle Million, bargaining committee member. “It was very satisfying that the bargaining committee voted unanimously to accept the new agreement.”
