Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2018, to April 30, 2021. Signed on Sept. 26, 2018. 
Wage adjustments: 
Effective May 1, 2018: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 0.8%
Paid holidays: 7 days, plus winter holiday recess (Dec. 22 at 5 p.m. and ending on Jan. 3 at 8:30 a.m.).
Vacations with pay: 1 month per year; any unused leave will be forfeited 6 months after end of academic year in which it was earned. 22 days per year for librarians (maximum 10 days may be carried over to following year). 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week for librarians. Maximum 100 hours per year of work in excess of 48 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer will provide $244 per year for health spending account. Amount will be increased each year by same amount that nominal salaries are adjusted. Unused credits may be carried over, maximum 1 year. 
Dental: Ontario Dental Association schedule to be used for reimbursement of basic and optional dental costs to employees will be based on least expensive treatment consistent with good dental care, as stipulated in insurance policy.
Sick leave: Employee on sick leave will receive 100% of regular salary for 119 days, for each separate accident or illness.
Pension: University of Ottawa Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 10 days for death of spouse, parent, stepparent, foster-parent, child, stepchild, foster-child, grandparent, stepgrandparent, grandchild, stepgrandchild or employee and spouse, spouse of child, brother, sister, relative who is dependent on employee for care or assistance.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 48 months.
Severance: Minimum 18 months for tenured employees.

Editor’s notes: Patent revenue: Employer will remit to employee 80% of first $100,000 and 50% remainder of net revenue employer receives from development or commercial exploitation of any patents which result from work of employee. Relocation expenses: Employer will reimburse employee’s relocation expenses minimum 100% of first $5,000; 75% of any further amount up to next $5,000; 50% on following $10,000.
