Agreement reached for staff at Porter FBO

Staff provide facilities, cleaning services at Billy Bishop airport

Porter FBO Limited has agreed to a contract with 44 employees who provide facilities and cleaning services on Porter properties at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

The employees are represented by the National Organized Workers (NOW) union and have ratified the contract, with 88 per cent voting in favour.

“Everyone involved deserves credit for resolving from the outset to find a fair and reasonable agreement, while defusing the possibility of a strike or lockout,” Porter FBO Limited CEO and president Robert Deluce said in a press release.

The agreement has no connection to the ongoing strike by customer service representatives and fuellers who also work for Porter FBO and are represented by the Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union (COPE).
