Workers at H&H Manufacturing in Burlington, Ont., ratify new agreement

Members of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local Lodge 103 ratified a new collective agreement on May 7 with H&H Manufacturing in Burlington, Ont.

The three-year agreement provides wage increases averaging 2.08 per cent in the first year, 2.04 per cent in the second year and 1.99 per cent in the third year depending on classification, said the union.

Other agreement highlights include IAM Pension plan increasing by $0.10 an hour in the first year and $0.10 an hour in the second year — after the second pension increase, members will be receiving $1.55 an hour toward their pension, said IAM.

Also included in the new agreement is generic drug coverage increasing by five per cent, vision-care coverage increased from $225 to $250, said the union.

The 28 employees consist of welders, labourers, fitter welders and machinists.

H&H Manufacturing attachments for construction equipment, including buckets, thumbs, couplers, and more. These products are manufactured in-house from start to finish, using wear-resistant steel.
