National Radiator employees say company locked them out

Workers refused to make concessions company asked for: Employees

About 15 employees at National Radiator in Windsor, Ont., claim the company has locked them out.

The employees are represented by Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) Local 195 and say they have been locked out since 12:01 a.m. on April 11. They have tied 17 pairs of shoes to the plant’s gate in protest.

The workers say they believe the company locked them out because they refused to make several concessions they say the company is asking for.

The CAW and the plant’s management have been in negotiations for the past nine weeks. Workers said union reps met with management on April 10.
